This is an old old machine that OCUK made quite a few years ago (AMD Sempron) but it does what the owners want it to do.
Every now and then I clean it up by removing rubbish from the Taskbar and it lasts them another 2 years.
The weird problem is that I can only use their monitor to see the BIOS
I forget every time they bring it that I need their monitor to do BIOS checks and I've plugged it into at least 10 different monitors and none of them will show the initial boot but all will show Windows
The monitor I have on now says 'Out Of Range' and there's nothing I can do to bring it into range.

Before they can bring the monitor round is there anything anybody can suggest?

I tend to find its a funny resolution. Need to find a monitor that'll support that res, somehow change it (remote assistance into it an option?).

just a thought, but probably way off......did you try booting into safe mode, pressing f8 i think. should load up in vga mode then you might be able to change the res from there?
