Anybody deal with number porting regularly?

Hi all,

We're trying to port our numbers away from our existing provider at the moment and the port requests keep being rejected.

I am being told that the DDI range has 'multiple losing providers' and our request has to match the correct numbers with the correct providers. That's fine, but how am I supposed to know who has what? All of our documentation (going back to the original order in 2000) only refers to the existing provider.

Any hints on how I find out gratefully received!

I dunno if you have got this sorted yet, but surely you are paying multiple providers? Ask accounts dept for all telecoms invoices going back 6 months, they should all be covered in that?
 
Not sorted yet -

No, we're not paying multiple providers hence why it's a bit of a surprise, our DDI block is being paid for through a single provider. We don't have any other accounts.

Having done a bit more digging the gaining provider is saying BT own the other part of the range yet BT won't speak to us because we don't have an account.... I've just resubmitted the port request naming BT as the secondary provider so we'll see what happens...
