This game was so hyped and frankly I just don't get it. Yes the graphics are a degree higher than anything seen before on 360, but when I compare it to games that are 2-3 years old on the PC like Half Life 2 or Far cry, the graphics don't seem all that great and the storyline is just too short, uninvolved and frankly just a bit boring. No this isn't a 360vsPC bash. My PC is no longer capable of running most recent stuff so I do prefer to play games on the 360.

I do admit I got rid of my first 360 back in July as I was so bored of the lack of games and only just got another one at Xmas with GOW,COD3,R6Vegas all 3 of which I felt were a bit bland, although I did thoroughly enjoy saints row which I got a few weeks back albeit i'm not sure if this is any better than similar games on the PC?

THe story does seem to change pace very quickly from quite a slow relaxed and almost detailed pace in acts 1 and 2, to a very rushed and abrubt end in acts 3, 4 and 5. I guess they needed to get this game out before the PS3 and rushed the story a bit and possibly chopped bits out that were not 100% up to scratch or complete.

Despite putting most of the effort into the single player game. IMO its the multiplayer aspects that really show how this game should have been and will make this game last longer.

So in short. I am disappointed with the story. Hopefully they resolve this in the next game. But the Multi-player more than makes up for it.

The story in Gow is rubbish, after getting out from the underground I was pretty much lost.

Hopefully the sequals will be a bit more stroy intensive.

Like Kron says, it more about the gameplay, especially online.

I don't get it either, I've only given it about 2hours or so of play and really don't have any desire to go back and play it again. I'll probably force myself to play it through just to see if things pick up, but it seems like the iD games of old fancy pants graphics and next to no gameplay (I know it's not an iD game by the way :))

I even think the much touted cover system works better in Rainbow 6 :)

Nope, it did nothing for me, so much so I cant even be bothered to finish it. Got up to a bit where you enter a mine or something after a level in the rain.

I wasn't even blown away by the graphics, they were nice but nothing I would say OMGWTFBBQoneone!!!!one!!two at.

At one point even Cars was more appealing than playing this :o

I think it's much more fun if you play it co-op with a friend, or online multiplayer. Haven't completed it yet on my own. I'l get round to it one day.

I was disappointed to see you only have to kill a few things with the hammer of dawn, and only one (?) corpser.

But let down overall? Nah.

Oh maybe with the friendly AI, especially Cole. The useless, fat ****.

Let down? No

There was a crazy amount of hype for GoW, surprised it faired as well as it did. It’s much better than most games out there at the moment.

I got a copy for my Xmas and have played it for 10 minutes since, not really sucked me into wanting to play it yet. Been too busy playing CoD3 online. What is it they say about simple things and simple minds

GOW is as we all know a great game. Graphics are very impressive and the co-op play is a welcome edition.

Im from the school of " my PC cant play any new games and Im not shelling out another grand to do so every 12 months " so the 360 the choice to continue game playing and not keep breaking the bank.

The mutiplayer mode is IMHO good , just what I wanted - online frag fests and fun - but the maps are to small, the rounds can be over in only a couple of minutes and theres always the cliche 15yr old american jabbering in my ear.

So I am tending to favour COD3 . maybe i'm just getting older and cant hack the pace and cant devote enough time to honing my skills ! hehehe. In the end though a great game ( when bought 2nd hand! )

Clown? no.

He's always in the sodding way, doesn't help out. Ever. And just runs off like a fool and gets himself killed. He's a complete billy anchor.

I find it slightly repetetive and have no idea what the story is about but I find the graphics better than anything my PC could offer me and I have a high spec rig.

I really like it.

I enjoyed completing the co-op story mode on Insane, but thats about it. The online side does nothing for me and I just can't get into it.

In contrast, I'm absolutely loving Rainbow 6. Online is ace! :D

Very disappointed with this game, hyped to hell for a AAA title and just let me down. Just a shoot move to next bit and repeat game wow.

I really enjoyed GOW (played it all CO-OP). But the game is far far too short!!

£49.99 rrp for the limited edition, for real?

GoW is miles better graphically than HL2 or Far Cry. Its the detail in everything, the sheer number of polygons in every single item that, to me, makes it better (looks wise) to any PC game currently out.

Plot wise, HL2 was good, most others were poor, Far Cry included.

I dont understand...I thought GOW was the HolyGrail of 360? I love RFom and i will play it over and over again..

Exact opposite. Single Player Vegas is good, but online wasn't my cup of tea at all. I loved GoW's 4on4 style. Its like short, balanced, rounds of Counter Strike without the buying of guns rubbish.
