Anybody else waiting for the new macbooks?

Well with lots of rumors of them just around the corner, alu cases for macbooks, glass multitouch touchpads etc....

I was looking for a 2nd hand white macbook but after reading around i have decided to wait and treat myself to a new one and an updated model.

Anyone aslo excited?
 
I am waiting as I can afford to wait I don't need one yet. Personally going for the macbook pro though. Hoping that there is a mac mini refresh about the same time as well as I want one of them to use as a PVR with Elgato. Again though I can wait.

Hardly excited though. It is only a laptop afterall.
 
Waiting for a new mac book pro here, I've got until 22nd of September before I start Uni, so fingers crossed for a early September announcement.

I'd like bluray, but thats not going to happen :(. Also some black in the design would be rather nice :D.
 
Press conference is generally early to mid september, then you'll probably have a bit of a backlog in getting them in the first few weeks.
 
People have been waiting for about 6 months. The rumours stated the release date for the last Apple conference but nothing happened. It was just all iPhone.
 
I reckon they'll probably sell the stock they have of their current macbooks for the college/university students using discounts in mid-late September and then update early November, but that's my guess.
 
Hopefully they will release them in early/mid September as I'll be in the states and I'm planning on picking up an Air while I'm out there
