I am after a good quality IEM and have ordered a set with the option of a fourteen day return. I had previously set my sights on the Sony XBA-H3 but when I recently missed out on their price reduction, I could not bring myself to buy them at between £200—£250.00

I got my IE80's for £185 from German Rainforest.

Cancelled my XBA-H3 as the Senns are so good.

I'll see how I get on with the T10i as I like the idea of being able to tune and equalise the treble should I need to.

I'm going to pair it with a Fiio X1 which is quite a bass thumper in itself and I'll be paying particular attention how well both handle vocals. I keep saying I'm going to do a review on the X1 but work keeps interfering with what little spare time I have :(

Cool let us know how you get on.

Just been using the T10i's and finding them very good. Not too much bass for me: quite tight and doesn't muddy or overpower any vocals. Soundstage is a pleasant surprise. As per many of the reviews the headset is of very good quality but the size of the earphones are a lot smaller than the advertising would have you believe. I actually believed them to be larger than what they were until they arrived. I am only using the reference tuning filter at the moment on a Fiio X1 with a selection of 16 bit music ranging from Dance to Classical. I will try them on some of my other equipment later in the week but so far, I believe I'm off to a good start.

I use the pair of Sony IEM's which came with a Sony NWZ-A846 32GB Walkman which I quite like. (Gave the Walkman to the Mrs as the volume was capped). I have a pair of Denon AHC 120 (Music Maniac) which aren't bad and a pair of Bose QC 15's . I also have a pair of JVC HA-FRD80-Z phones which are rubbish .

The mids and highs on the T10i'S are spot on . I was particularly impressed by the canticle Benedictus for this reason.

Sounds like you are smitten. Can't go wrong with the 3 year warranty. Congrats.

I would like to hear your reasoning for that when you have assessed the T10i.

sure, full review will take a couple weeks, like to give everyithng a good burn in, try a variety of tips and sources before i "go on record" as it were. its the only fair way a think.

still first impressions are just not making me go wow, this is good! i did with the 750. not that T10 is crap or anything but its just not screaming great sound per £ like the 750 was.

This will be interesting to hear as I never heard the 750 but read the reviews from people who had (all saying they were impressed). At the same time, I did come across people and reviewers who had the 750's and preferred the T10i:

oh yeah, reviews for the T10 have been all over the place, some very positive others not so much. so at this point i dont know if its source sensitive or what and thats why i dont like being categorical about anything in the early days. plus its not like the 10 is a bad product, just the 750 was a bit of a stunner and so far in my the 10 has mostly provoked ambivalence.

looking at getting one of the 2 RHA's as my Shure 315's have given up on me.

now you've both had some time with them how would you say its going?

i dont mind paying for the t10's if theyre worth the money over the 750's but the saving of buying the 750's is always a bonus.

cheers
