Hi all,

Does anybody here use: Java PS3 Media Server to stream via PS3?

What I'd like to know is - Can you play/stream MKV files without any conversion using this app?

It's transcodes it (conversion on the fly whilst playing back) like most other streaming apps...

If it didn't do both audio and video at the same time then it would be pants for streaming video don't you think?

Yes, this program is just like Tversity, give or take a few features.

Just tried this myelf, very easy to use and have no problems with any of my media.

Do any of these media servers thingies let you transfer large files onto the PS3 hard drive? I used to use Red Kawa but then after a PS3 firware update it would only let me stream video files and not downlaod them...!!!

It has a copy function to transfer movies/music etc but not sure about anything else. Just found out it streams French Tv to my PS3 lol
