Anybody know - Wii component question

Ive just given my mate a shot of my Wii, since he doesnt have a TV with component I just gave him the composite cables. The thing is, Ive just realised that I have my Wii set to display at 480p.

Does anyone know what will happen when he fires it up with the composite cables ? Will the Wii recognise that its connected via composite and automatically change the setting (or will he just not get any picture ?)

It'll either

a) not show a picture

b) switch back to composite

c) blow up his tv*

*not really!

it auto detects for whatever cable is connected

Cheers for that ! Set my mind at rest - I know that the PS2 doesn't automatically change the settings, good to hear the Wii does
