Been on windows phone for ages. Quite like it
This moved for an ip4 to a 520, never looked back. Now on 1320.
Can't wait to stick win10 preview on it in Feb.
1320 much better than 520? If so, in what way/s
Mahoosive screen, 4g, screen looks a hell of a lot better. And battery usually lasts two days. Its a bargain for £200 when I got it, probably find it cheaper now. Unused upgrade on ebay it was.
I'm tempted to move from Android as I like the sound of Windows 10. I'd need to be convinced that the stuff I rely on in Android can be replicated in Windows (I assume it will, but will want to check).
I'd be looking for a sim-free phone at about £150 with a decent battery life.
But I won't start looking seriously until nearer the Win 10 release.

This is why I haven't tried WP yet, my bank app is missing. Sounds stupid but being able to log on in a second is up there on my list of things I use a phone for. I'd kill a nun for a Lumia camera.
The things I use the most are:
- Google Music Manager/Play Music - I need somewhere to upload & store my music and stream music. Are the google apps implemented on WP or is there an equivalent?
I use an app called CloudMuzic for my Google music.other app live Youtube have alts, G+ has an alt but it's quite poor.- Google Drive - on WP or id there an equivalent? Sub fee?
Again i use an app called Cloud Mesh Pro, this will link Drive, Dopbox,Box and other all in one app, it's really good.- A calendar app that displays upcoming appointments from my google/gmail account on my home screen.
The standard calender can show you Google calender stuff, and you can have it as a live tile.- Ingress - though I'd be happy to sacrifice that.
No igress- Geocaching - a geocaching app
Not sure
I'm being a bit lazy and could research all of those, but a move to WP/10 will be a few months away...
I'm reluctant. Microsoft seem more intent on bringing their apps and services to other platforms than other businesses are on bringing their apps and services to Microsoft's platform. Windows (Phone) is a good looking platform, but there's just more available elsewhere. While that remains the case, ARM builds of Windows are a hard sell.
Unified OS = Unified Apps
The announcement of that alone made me jump back on board and bought myself a Lumia 930
Can't wait til there is a proper phone that can run (x86) Windows desktop (as well as having the phone features) even if it means having to use a stylus for desktop stuff, won't ever look back to android then and finally move off my note 1 phone.
Lol. Apps with tiny touch targets and phones that had to be used with a stylus was Windows Mobile 6.5 and earlier stuff, an era that nobody sane would ever want to go back to. If you want a Windows desktop then use VDI and a Remote Desktop app.
however 1280x800 on slightly over 5" is perfectly useable and viewable for phone type features and apps and adequate with a stylus for desktop operation. Remote desktop depends too much on having a reasonable connection and bandwidth allowance to be particularly useful - I use my galaxy note sometimes that way to a VPS and its perfectly usable even with the fairly ropey stylus on that as far as input goes but lacking somewhat in functionality and potential connection issues.
