They have a good sim only deal on at the moment (24GB data for £15 a month) but they've only got a 1 star review on trust pilot. Anybody use them to say what they're actually like?

My mum's been with them for years and has no issues with them. She's on a legacy 3G package though and refuses to change simply because the VM support over the years reduced the monthly cost to something really low. They use the EE network so if you get good coverage with them in your area, you'll be fine with Virgin.

Number of my family have recently gone onto sim only deals with virgin, been pretty good the data speed you get is limited compared to what I get on EE, so guessing that's something to do with priotpri on the masts, but they still get more than useable 4g speeds

Same, the Mrs and I are still on one of their 3G packages because we get unlimited everything for about £10/month :D They keep trying to get me to change to a 4G package but I've told them unless they can price it the same I'm not interested. Useful having free calls to other VM mobiles and land lines to as loads of people round here have them.

I almost went VM when they had a previous decent deal on when the 100 GB one was running but I noticed at the last minute they don't allow tethering so I went with a new option called Smarty which is actually another brand of Three's. Not quite as cheap as the VM offers but no issue with tethering and you get a discount off each subsequent month for the data you didn't use in the previous month.

Thanks for that. I've got a sim from them as well. Getting a refund for data is a great idea.

Is it a case of against the T&C, it is blocked or you get charged for the tethered data seperately per MB? I was looking to switch to them from EE as I am using more data now that my car is internet connected but if I can't tether then it would be pointless.

I've heard bad things about the new purple SIMs they're handing out. Seems to be issues at the network level.

Was going to go for this deal myself but that has put me off a bit.
