Anybody running linux on a macbook?

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody does the above? Have always run linux on PC's/Servers but never on Apple kit.
I'm slightly concerned about fan control when using linux instead of OS X as I've read mixed reports about how cooling is controlled on Macs.

Any thoughts about the cooling or general info would be appreciated.

I might have to give it a go. I used Gentoo for a couple of years on and off, I loved the control you had. Something which could useful on the mac hardware.
