Morning all,

Does anybody subscribe to macworld? I picked up April's copy and found it quite interesting...

I remember a while ago there was a 'Which mac mag do you read' thread, but I can't seem to find it!

I only ask, as the subscription deal is pretty good value and I'm thinking of taking the plunge..

Are there any decent alternatives out there?? Although I enjoy reading online magazines, I've started to taking girly baths (blame the sorta gf) and dont want to risk my computer joining me in the soapy goodness - so a paper copy would be preferable!

Cheers,

Tom

ps.. if someone finds the previous thread and wants to point me in the right direction that would be kewl :)

Yeah, it's bi-monthly.

More up to date, and cheaper than MacFormat/MacWorld.

No worries, If I didn't read all the online blogs/tech sites I'd subscribe :)

Yes, but it gives you more choice.

If you see an issue with a printer-roundup, and it's not your thing then you can just choose to not buy it, wait 2 weeks and get the next one.

Usually with MacWorld, there's 1 issue per month (I say usually because they do Christmas editions :p) and you either get that or you wait another month.

I know, i was just being facetious :p

I'll need to look into possibly starting to get a mac magazine again, i used to enjoy MacUser too tho.

I know, just teasing.

I like the tips n tricks section or the Q&A sections in the magazine(s), they're usually either a good laugh, or they're goldmines of useful information.

For example, ctrl+alt+cmd+eject = epic shutdown.

Epic Shutdown?! Sounds interesting...

Is this a 'try it and see what happens'? or 'try it and be prepared to spend much dollar!?'

Tom :)
