I'm starting to get into shooting more video with my Canon EOS 550D DSLR but really miss shooting through a viewfinder as I find it hard to pull focus etc. staring at a screen on a bright day.

I wondered if anybody had any experience with using one of those stick-on eyecup loupe viewfinders that mount on the LCD screen on the back of the camera like this one:

Are they worth a try? Is it a bad idea to try a cheaper model first? (as there's some on ebay for like £20 but the really good ones are like £50-150+....)

I used to use one on my 600d till it broke (cheap version). You definitely get better focus pulls and it's a great addition if you're using the camera for film.
