Hi all

was having a look online for a new gaming headset... I've only ever had Turtle beach PX22 I think that's what model they were....

I came across the Corsiar Void headsets... are they any good or is that anything better?

Not looking to spend to much though

Thank you

I prefer the Voids to the previous model, much lighter and more comfortable. Only gripe is the mic feels more budget, and there is a sharp little pointy bit at the hinge which, if you sometimes tilt your head sideways, can catch on loose threaded clothes like wool jumpers. I've pulled a few threads out of my fav one so far and not chuffed!

They do what they're supposed to and work fine for me. Can't say the surround is convincing, but it never is on headsets imo.

The corsair void are a great headset mate. I found the wireless version of the ear cups to be of a better material opposed to the cheaper versions.

That's good to hear positive reviews... I am very tempted to get them, I won't really use the Mic it's just the fact that I will be gaming when my little one goes to bed and I like to hear all what's going on in my games, helps me concentrate :p

I tried a friends for a couple of hours, and to be honest I was a bit disappointed compared to my Hyper X Clouds which are/were a similar price and now are even a bit cheaper. Both were using my Xonar U7 DAC/amp. They weren't bad but I was just expecting a bit more compared to HXC

Thanks for that input bud.. It would be great if there was a way for me to try them out like you can when you go into Currys and they have music headphones to try before you buy... Now youve thrown another brand and model into the Mix for me to check out

My friend had one of these and he really liked them for listening (though he was no audiophile and had terrible taste in music).

However whenever he joined teamspeak everyone in the channel would groan cause the microphone was absolutely terrible. It sounded like he was talking through both a tincan and 26 cushions.

I've tried the cloud II mentioned and they really are worth the hype. Sound quality was seriously impressive for a headset at the price point. And not just through my fairly high end soundcard but also the included USB dongle. Lots of my friends use them for discord and I have no complaints about the microphone either.

Sennheiser GSP 300 would be worth a look too, I've not personally tried them but they have a better mic however lack the USB dongle and cost a bit more.

Worth mentioning with this the Hyper X Cloud 2 has a new mic compared to Cloud 1 (which I have) but I use mic quite a lot and it's ok. Nothing special but does the job

Just received my VOID headset today, awesome piece of kit, uber comfortable for sure!

That's good to hear mate... definitely considering them....

Always heard good things about Sennheiser but wasn't to sure what the prices are like

i like mine bought as a replacement for a razer Megaladon. different feel reasonably comfy ear cup design, not as light as the megs and sound take a little setting up but they are great so far for a cheap headset.
new CUE 2 software if using with other corsair items is not as nice as CUE1 but once you get used to it its ok.

The only real issue I have with my Void's is the lack of grip strength so if you move your head too quickly they can roll forward off your head if you move too quickly. they also feel loose like they might slip but it does take a decent quick movement to actually make them budge...its good as they don't clamp too much like some others do...so i suppose its up to your personal preference but its something worth considering.
