My phone broke the other week and I remember seeing Envirofone adverts on TV about getting money for your old phone. Just went on the website and it said that they'll offer £18.10 for my w810i which is obviously more than I'd get leaving it lying around.

Just wondering if there's any alternatives out there and also does anybody know if the phone has to be in working order to recieve payment as I can't find anything about it on the site?

Cheers.

I used Envirophone last month, put the info on the site, they sent a freepost pouch, put the phone in, sent it off, a few days later got the check :)

Hi,

I've used them before, however this is from the site:

Can you offer a value for a mobile phone that is damaged/faulty?

Yes we can offer a value for a mobile phone that is damaged/faulty. However, we cannot tell you how much a damaged/faulty mobile phone would be worth without seeing it. Once we have received and tested your mobile phone we will make you an offer by email; if you want to accept the offer simply click the appropriate link provided in that email.

In general over 90% of all mobile phones traded in with us do meet our terms and conditions. For the other 10% offers vary from nothing to 90% of the full value. If we cannot offer you a value for your mobile phone we are still delighted to recycle it for you free of charge.

Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for damage sustained in transit.

Hope that helps
James

£18 for a W810? Man, phones really do depreciate steeply

I've used envirophone 4 times, and no complaints. You get either cash or Argos points. Think carefully about the Argos points....I genuinely have nothing to buy from that store :(

ive used them before and its pretty easy stuff. just add the phones on the website if you have 4 phones they'll send a courier free of charge, if you don't they'll send a free post envelope but isn't recorded. they'll then check the phones and give you a quote of the prices i.e. if theres damage etc etc, you except and they send you a cheque.

I've not used Envirophone but I've used Mazuma Mobile a couple of times, they were fine for me and tended to offer slightly more for the phones than Envirophone although that may have changed by now.
