Hi guys.
I'm finishing uni this year so at the moment i'm having a look at what jobs might be available. I will pretty much consider any IT-related job, but would most like to do software development.
Anyway, i have found a software developer job advertised locally which asks for people with knowledge of C# and SQL server.
I'm happy with C# and feel this is the sort of job i would be going for. Im unsure of what is involved with SQL server tho. I'v done some google searching for it but it just tells me what the thing actually is. What i really want to know is what would i be expected to do with SQL server in this type of job? (I can do SQL but i dont know if that's relevant?)

If it is dev it will mainly be writing stored procs. Sorting out data that has gone wrong. Finding problems and fixing them.

It is easy to get the basics of SQL very quickly, and in a work environment there will be lots to learn from and expand your knowledge.

This. Though being given the opportunity to work with it and learn is, as is the case a LOT of the time in the IT field, a chicken and egg scenario. Very difficult.
