AnyDVD Freeware Alternative?

Hi guys

I just bought the LG HD DVD/Blu Ray combo drive and require AnyDVD HD to watch my movies, but it will cost me about £50

Anyone know of any freeware programs similar to AnyDVD HD?

So they can pretty much charge as much as they want for it...well within reason.

For Vista it's a lot cheaper than buying a graphics card with HDMI+HDCP and a monitor with HDMI, if you don't have them already, but they do currently have us over a barrel.

I dont know if it will help, but i do belive dvdfab hd decryptor can strip the protection. dont think its real time like anydvd, but if you dont mind copying to hd first the content should be watchable.

^anydvd is an on the fly driver

decrypts it whether you're watching it or ripping it, so it's far superior (plus they're around the same price)

It does? There's piracy discussions in the games forum all the time.

AnyDVD is worth it to skip the crap at start of a DVD alone.

Also decrypt a Audio CD on the fly to let you back up in Nero or other.

Why must we be punished for buying legitimate DVDs like this?

It's almost as if they want people to pirate.
