hmmm thats a point, in the picture the guy has converted his optical into coaxial. i need to do the same, but like you say it does have rca inputs and ive just checked mine and there is only two wires coming from them. so could a male audio coax cable fit into the female rca plugs on a 360 dongle?

Surely that's just a live & ground cable , every RCA cable should have that.
