Anyone a climber ?

It's very impressive.
I have climbed a lot. Not yosemite but a lot in Squash. I love long multi pitch climbs

As much as I enjoy it (a LOT smaller climbs fully roped) I just don't get putting your fingers through that for any kind of climb.

Did have some quite nasty blisters last time I did it but that was due to how much the sun had warmed the surfaces.

One of the lads I used to work with climbed the North face of the eiger, he left work to ski mountaineer for berghaus.

I used to go to a local rock climbing wall almost everyday until they decided it was too dangerous :( never looked into joining a club.

Most impressive thing I've seen is a bloke doing pull-ups with only his thumb and index griping the door frame/ index finger curled over the bar doing pull-ups that way.

Can someone clarify what "without aids" actually means? Alex Honnold did the triple crown* a couple of years ago, including El capital, 90% of it without ropes.

I do a bit of climbing (indoor mostly) and am jealous of their skills though, even if they are using rope! :p

*Solo'd Mt Watkins, El Capitan and Half Dome inside 24 hours.

Edit: ok as expected without aids means pre existing bolts and pins to stand on in some spots, along with the occasional pendulums. Those spots must have been the bits Honnolddid put on the rope.
