Hi Pete,
Don't know if you can help at all with a problem.
When wi-fi was first put into the Villas all was ok with static IP addresses and I had set it up so that if anyone was being particually naughty and going way over the limit I could change the password on the router and lock them out from the UK. (the cost of wifi out here is very high)
However the other day the telectoms company managed to disconnect us. After much stamping of feet and to-ing and fro-ing we were set up again. It wasn't until the day after I realised that our IP address was now dynamic so when the electricty gets switched off (which it is if no one is here) or there is a power cut, the blasted Ip address is changed and I can no longer access the 2 routers (one in each villa)
I have read up on the Router information (Technicolor Gateway TG784n V3) and it supports dns so I thought ah ha! I can do this!!!
Set up the 2 hosts in NOIP and set up the routers to access the correct host. All well and good.
I can access the routers via their hosts names PROVIDING i am on the corresponding wifi.
If I am in villa 9 I cannot access villa 6 and vice versa.
Reading more information seems to point towards the port (80?) being blocked either on My laptop or the router.
I am now out of my comfort zone. Any ideas?????
Love Mum xx
