Anyone actually using their Vita for PS4 remote play?

You need to untick the direct connect option to get it to work over the internet. I've tried it, it adds too much lag to make it playable :-(
At home tho ive been playing resogun and tomb raider with great success! Tomb raiders button mappings are the best way of dealing with the lack of buttons ive seen so far. Ghosts was pretty decent too.

Thanks, i try that.

Works well with certain games (not technically so, just gameplay). Platformers, third person and side scrollers work best.

Killzone worked fine, but it was just too tricky to play comfortably.

Hardly touched mine, which is a shame. Initially tried NFS and Killzone, but neither are suited to remote play with the Vita. Resogun wasn't too bad.

I've not played Don't Starve at all, even directly on the PS4, but was wondering whether that would be any good remotely as from what I can gather it's slightly more old school with less going on?

think i'm gonna give the vita a miss, although i have a huge psn plus catalogue, i prefer using a console and would have liked this had it been good for remote play on BF4 and war thunder but i guess the lagg ruins it.

if i see one for cheap £50 or something in a years time i might grab one.

Honestly the lag isn't bad at all when connected directly. I've been trophy hunting resogun his morning and was on tomb raider last night on hard with no problems at all.

I played FIFA using remote play over the internet, it works really well. I had the odd graphical artifact glitch but nothing too bad. I was impressed how well it work and the little to no lag involved.

Recently got Sky Fibre enabled which has a nice 10meg up. Took me a few attempts to get it working over the web but got there in the end.

I've been playing BF4, Resogun, Need for Speed all over the internet without an issue.

(10 down 10 up)

Not managed to get mine working over the internet yet, but fine in the house.
Perhaps I need to spend some time with the router, as only just changed to a RT-AC68U and suffering a bit from feature-overload :p

I tried yesterday with Fifa 14 and it seemed to work fine. I didn't know where to look for key mapping so couldn't sprint or anything. I was awful but the game itself seemed to run OK.

I've tried it with Resogun and whilst it played fine, the fact it only streams at 30 FPS is a deal breaker for me, if it was 60 FPS like on the Wii U I'd likely use it a lot more.

Handy for a blast at work though. I've played a few games over the remote play. The more basic the better though. I don't think battlefield or call of duty works so well.

Anyone used this with Thief? seemed to work well for the most part but I couldn't get the dodging to work at all :/ Also sometimes the control prompts were vita specific (press the touchscreen to equip items) - but sometimes it went back to DS4 prompts :/
