Anyone any good at designing logo's?

I'm helping a mate out by building him a website for his personal training business - the website isn't a problem at all but I'm struggling with the logo design.

He wants to use the image here to make his logo from - he wants this Koru image but as a solid silhouette so that he can also, eventually, use on T-Shirts and any products he may start selling etc.

The company name will be KORU HEALTH Co.

Any advice/help would be very much appreciated.

Just trace it in illustrator using the pen tool.
Find a suitable font. Muck about with the positioning.
Voilá.

I have never really used illustrator before - I don't think I have a steady enough hand to trace it freehand...!!!

I can have a go at it over the weekend whilst im doing other things if you like, although i can't promise anything amazing.

A couple of questions though, the final loop of the koru, do you want the texture pattern on the final Image/logo and if so do you want it coloured/textured/transparent or something else?

Are you wanting any particular colour scheme, when you say a solid silhouette.

No texture in the final loop - just filled solid like the rest. I was thinking about making something like a square box with the koru image being a cut out along with the text.

Might have to wait a little bit, spent today doing a bit of impromptu roller skating (read :- falling over a lot and generally making a spectacle of myself) so im pretty done in right now, will see if i can get some work done on it tonight but again can't promise anything.

Any joy with the logo yet? Sorry, I don't mean to be cheeky... just need to crack on!
