I'm asking as I would like to know what the views are like in the upper upper segments.

I want to buy overpriced tickets for the Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto boxing fight in November.

I've always wanted to see a big fight in Las Vegas, and although Pac vs Floyd seems a certainty next year, I think this would be the better fight and easier to get tickets to.

Any advice on Flight Hotel packages for the week there?

Tickets are £590 for 2

I have paid much more than that for fight tickets in US :p

Generally don't go with packages, book flights and hotels sperately

Hotel prices very low at moment so you should get a good deal :)

Try the Platinum hotel, great place and superb prices at moment

Oh and whatever you do don't stay in the MGM on a fight weekend

I've seen a concert there (jimmy buffett) and it is large 17,000 seats or so if I remember correctly. I was in mid priced seats which were good. For a fight where you need to see more than a concert not sure I would want to be way up in the back (particularly if that fight was the reason for the whole trip.) Don't know if they use the whole capacity for a fight though or if you are may be closer to the action with only the central part of the arena used.

I am going to a convention in vegas in a month or so and just got a very competitively priced package through the BA websites offers - premium economy flight and 4 nights in the venetian for a lower price than the premium economy flight on its own.

Another site I have had a lot of bargains with just for accommodation (and particulalry when travelling to the US) is roomsnet.com

hope that helps

This, although occasionally Expedia do put some good flight/hotel bargains up. Also be aware that the major resorts etc put their prices up for big weekends, was there for Labour day weekend a couple of weeks ago and beers were a dollar more expensive etc. Glad I didn't pay for many of them ;)

Labor day was mental, well Friday night was, cleared off out of town Saturday and it had improved a bit by Sun night

Saturday was worse, the Luxor & MGM were slammed till about 4am - drunk american college kids are good entertainment though :p

I saw Hatton v Pacquiao there earlier this year. Not my greatest spending of money ever at approximately £400 per round but it was an amazing experience.

We were sat on the floor section 11 rows from the front and the atmosphere was really good.
