Anyone been on Canon Seminars?

As photography looks to be taking a more important role in my life, I've decided it's a good idea to get a jump start in learning how to use my camera more fully, so I've been looking at the Canon Seminars.

I would like to join a club, but working away from home means it is pretty much impossible to get involved with my local society (and therefore learn from people there).

Anyway, if anyone has attended a Canon seminar, what did you think of it?
