Does anyone know if we're allowed to test out chairs and mattresses, sit on them etc? Or is it like a safari where you just wonder about looking and no touchy.

Ta!

Went a couple of weeks ago, no problem sitting on/lying on/touching whatever you liked including all the other people crammed in there. If you're worried about social distancing I wouldn't recommend it, otherwise it's pretty much BAU.

Cheers mate, not worried about the distancing just need a new chair and mattress badly!

Nice one :)

I went on a Sunday to the one in Warrington to buy a chair and there were people waiting for car park spaces, the queue was very long and no one looked happy. Turned round and went home and ended up buying the same type of chair on Facebook marketplace an hour later. Not helpful for the in store experience but I wouldn't be surprised if its still a nightmare to get in.

I want to go for a Markus chair, nope, completely sold out.

:(
That's what I'm looking for, hope there are some to test!

If you’re buying an IKEA mattress for a double bed, get one of their mattress toppers.

Cheers mate, I'm looking for the firmest bed I can find on a bit of a budget, but only need it to last 6 months or so.

lol, check the website for stock at your store, it’s showing as no stock anywhere

I found the website stock checker a complete joke - 2 wasted trips to pick stuff up the website said were in stock but weren't

Trying stuff out was fine though

cant u just buy it online and get it delivered :P

THe markus chair hasnt changed in over ten years. Comes in grey too now, and leather i think.

if you think there was a lot of people outside you should have seen the tills... people were stood weaving in and out of all the isles. i honestly wish id of just spent an extra £60 on ebay for the item i wanted than go through that ordeal...

I went a few weeks back, it was mainly at the tills where it was rammed, this was a weekday evening.
As for mattresses, we have the hamarvik(sp?) and would recommend it.
