Hi,
I contacted Dell today through their Sales Web Chat service to ask for an XPS without an OS. They said "no can do". I then asked if they can give me 64bit Vista instead of the 32 bit Vista offered on the website as I know the USA folks have this option. They said "no can do". I said "well can you give me a big discount then so I can buy another OS myself and install it?". They said "no can do" . They also said "the internet price is the best price we can offer". So I said "no can do" .
PS I`m not joking about the "no can do". They didn`t say those exact words but the person I was chatting to via the web did seem to give nearly the same answer to all of my questoins
has anyone else successfully managed to do any of the above through Dell? I`m sure I read somewhere recently that they will sell without OS`s installed if required like that. Maybe I`m better off calling them......
