Thinking of going all out and buying a 1440p 144hz IPS g sync panel, but of course they are expensive .

I am thinking of getting a refurbished AOC agnon for £450 but i am worried about backlight bleed problems , on top of normal quality control problems all these types of monitors are experiencing .

I am stuck between the AOC agnon and viewsonic xg2703-gs. Just trying to decide which one has better quality control , even though AOC is cheaper .

I'm close to sodding it and buying an equivalent TN panel too.

Anyone bought a refurbished one and had success ?

Refurbed by who? Would assume you still have the same rights to return it for a replacement if not happy?

It was some company in Manchester, reputable but from what the gentleman over the phone described it sounded like it was returned due to backlight bleed, so I have avoided it. I ordered the AOC from curries and it got rejected because the delivery address was different to the billing address. What a joke, this is a present. They said they cant do anything and it will always be rejected, have to go in store which is not an option for me.

Everywhere else the AOC is 100 quid more expensive so I will end up ordering a Acer predator equivalent off ebay I presume.

If you mean the AOC AG271QG, both that and the Viewsonic XG2703-GS use the same panel. It's an AUO M270DAN02.3. The problems you describe are generally considered as acceptable, as only a minority will complain about it. You could look into VA panels, they're a middle ground between IPS and TN, but avoid a lot of the issues that each of them have.

It makes sense, I think I will end up going for the Acer predator in the end as it is the cheapest out of those I can get. I am not interested in Asus as I have had bad customer experiences with them in the past.
