Anyone bought a sofa from DFS?

Perfectly happy with my experience of buying from them. Bought a sofa bed from them, took out the stain thing as well, so they come and sort out any messes etc, but the stuff they've treated it with has meant everything has just wiped off so far with no problems. The cats walk all over it with their muddy feet and it brushes off. The only issue I've had is the buggers scratching it a bit, but I knew that would happen when I got the cats.

If you take out the interest free (I paid a chunk and then the rest is on 0% for 3 years) just a heads up, it doesn't say DFS when the money is taken out. I raised a fraud query with natwest as it had a DD going out with the name "creation" on it, until I realised what it was.

:)

I spent a grand on a 3 and 2 seater leather seater pair - once the guy started his sales patter I just stopped him in his tracks with loads of knowledge about leather and he gave up. Also gave me a tip - ask for whatever coating / stainproof warranty it is they give you, leather or fabric - it says in the small print that you can cancel it within 30 days. and they never deliver within 30 days.
So ask for that, and then cancel it within the 30 days - they can't exactly take it off, can they?
And they rarely drop the price below their "SALE!" price, but will throw in all the extras. Cushions, footstools, anything at all, I ended up going across the road with the guy for a pint and he told me all about how they work. He stayed late when I told him me mum was coming to see if she liked the colour - he bought her a drink and all!

I bought my sofa from somewhere that sold ex-display DFS ones.
I paid £450 for a nice 4 seater (it claims to be a corner one but is more of a regular sofa with a foot stool attached) that was in DFS for £995 on a half price offer (no way was it worth £2000 ever).
Even with the OMG WE HAVE A SALE stuff one (which is on 365 days every year) their prices are not that good. To confirm this, it is clear that the 0% finance is there because the sofas are so overpriced in the first place.

I the website comes back to me I will post it in this thread. It is a tiny business unit in the middle of nowhere near Nottingham but I drove up there for a look to check it out before buying - I paid no deposit and paid him when he delivered it :).

EDIT: This is the place http://www.letail.co.uk/sofas.html

Bought a sofa and an oversize one seater a few months back, I visited all the local stores and sat on all the ones I liked. Ended up getting one from DFS and they delivered within the agreed time, delivery men brought them inside and unpacked, assembled and took the packaging away.

I not a sofa expert but I am happy with my purchase.

ive had mine for 7 years now and they still sell the same model (or very similar atleast) a bit of the stiching has gone between the leather but its lasted fine... it is due for an upgrade now but with 2 small children its just not worth it yet.

biggest issue i know of is you get no set date when it is coming then they give you a couple of days notice and they wont hold it for you (or wouldnt for me anyway) it seems the same with situation with SCS too

My last two sofas from dfs lasted really well and sold them for good money as my house won't fit them well. Bought new one from dfs, came last week, we have and issues with it so they have a sofa builder (don't know what they are called) coming out Xmas eve to sort it.
It's a corner sofa and it doesn't join well and one end sags, compared to the photo I. The website there are two legs missing which support it.
Customer service so far is good but this better be sorted before he leaves.
