If so what was your experience of them?

About to move in to a new flat and found a nice sofa we want to get from DFS but have read all the horror stories online - might just be a case of people only complaining and not writing about their good experiences?

So what are peoples personal experiences on here?

This is the sofa in question:

And people say that he was the only one who ever bought a sofa at DFS when it was not on sale

That's because people don't usually post on the internet if their purchase went well, unless they are crazy.

I've had two over the years, they are ok.

It's the same with everything though, buy a cheap sofa at DFS, you end up with a cheap sofa, spend a decent amount of money at DFS and you end up with a decent one.

The sofa seems good quality - have seen it in store and it's super comfy. The material seems good quality too like it won't wear out quickly etc.

Not that I am a sofa expert - this will be out first one (other than a tiny 2 seater that is so crap it doesn't count :D) - but it seems good for the money. Was just a bit concerned about DFS being rubbish.

i took out the care plan for the sofa covered all splills etc so phoned them in one of the kids had spilled something, they sent me a tiny bottle of spray solution to clean it wtf

Just got one delivered a few days ago. Seems really good and the whole process was grand. It wasn't cheap so it should be better quality than some of the cheap junk.

I think they will ask you to clean it using this spray but if it still doesn't remove it then they will re-cloth it.

Got a DFS sofa, pay the extra to get the foam filled cushioning as its far higher quality over the fibre filled ones. Had mine for 2 years now and there isn't a hint of sag even with my fat arse sitting on it all the time. They will no doubt try and get you to upgrade to it anyway, but its well worth it. Can't fault mine at all.

Don't get the sofa care thing though. Worthless.

What is cheap for a Dfs sofa?

I got one this year. Fits nicely with my av gear. Perfectly happy

Didn't ever expect to go into a Dfs store with their cheesy constant sales ads

Think mine was 500 for a 3 seater. It's the one on their home page. Sloped leather arms and an almost 2 tone dark silvery.. Non tacky.. Finish. Specifically wanted sloped arms as I usually lay on sofa rather than sit

I didn't want a leather and glad I didn't get one.

How much extra was the foam filling?

Is it like a memory foam type filling?

Our sofa was from DFS and it's been great, No problems at all and we have 2 cats and it has been pretty resiliant when they have decided to jump on it from the coffee table and not land right on it so they use their claws to climb the rest of the way

Don't go for the fabric protection though, From what I've heard it's not far from a scam
