Yeah, generally punk - but in the American sense of the word (far better & different to the likes of Green Day, Offspring, etc. though!).

I've just bought it & giving it the first going over (as well as the new Smashing Pumpkins album), and it sounds real good at the moment. :)

They're very good for the most part, been going for well over 20 years now ;)

Unfortunately not had a listen of the new album yet.

It's poor. It's like they've regressed back to 90s BR. Which is a shame. I swear Greg Graffin just phoned in the lyrics.

Totally disagree - it's very similar in a lot of ways to The Empire Strikes First. Just because it's got a sticker on the front saying they've gone back to their roots (which wouldn't be a bad thing anyway), you shouldn't be fooled.

Heck - they're not a prog rock band, so I don't know what you expect!

The Empire Strikes First was ok but I really feel they've just been lazy this time around. I'd have been happier with another The Process of Belief!!

Plus they can never go back to their roots. It just wouldn't work, I don't think. I expect a bit more refining of their sound, and they went a step forward with The Process of Belief, and I think they've went a step back on this release.

90's BR is their worst period.

I actually quite like it.
I thought the process of belief was on the whole great. I only liked a couple of songs (let them eat war, sinister rouge, and some other one) off Empire Strikes First.

It's still a lot better than No Substance anyway.

The Empire Strikes First is an amazing album, I'm not sure why any Bad Religion fan would say anything negative about it. Come on, I would love that album even if it was just Los Angeles Is Burning for all 14 tracks! I have to say that Recipe For Hate is probably my favourite album.

As for the new one, it is good, but not great. It does grow on you though with New Dark Ages and Prodigal Son probably being my favourite tracks.
