Anyone can help me with this one?

Hi,

I have a re-occurring problem. Not sure when it happens but its annoying me.

There is supposed to be a task pane on the left hand side of the explorer windows for example "my computer tasks" in the my computer window and "network connection tasks" in the networks connections window.

It seems to disappear after a few months of a windows fresh install and I don't know how to get it back.

It may be some software that I install that removes it but I have never noticed what it is.

could someone tell me how to get it back.

i'm not running xp at the moment but i think it's under tools>folder options. then there should be an option something like "show common tasks"????

ok try this.... right click on my computer, properties, advanced, performance>settings and check the option "adjust for best appearance"?

Think it might be this vista skin i am using thats screwed it up. somethings changing when I change these settings but not what I wanted.

will uninstall the skin and try again.
