anyone can recommend very decent 5.1 systems?

i just got edifier s550, but don't really like it since its not loud enough for me, i use to have z-5500 even tho some ppl here say its bad compare to s550 but with abit of equalizer setting i thought it is better than s550 for some reason. i gona refund the edifier s550 and want to get a proper 5.1 home cinema system, i mainly use it for music and movies, very little on game since i quit that. i was looking at ONKYO HT-S9405THX 5.1Ch Home Cinema System, but if anyone can point out better ones please as i need more advise, my budget is under £1000.00

I'd make a thread in the home cinema & hi-fi section of the forums, if you haven't already. With up to £1000 to play with, that will give you quite a few options. Lucid will be able to advise what is best to spend your cash on.

Edit: I see you've made one. That's the best place for advice really. Quite a few people with home theatre system knowledge, don't post here in Sound City.
