Anyone clocked a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz (Socket AM2) ?

I am looking for a little more power out of my system and wanted to know if anyone have experianced the CPU and what there thoughts were?

I know intel are on top now but hava AMD make this CPU clock highter to compete?

You won't see much with a 600MHz increase tbh.

I've seen on forums that they are clocking around 3.2ghz on air, I think a 600mhz to maybe 800mhz increase would show a positive increase. It's just the issue of price that has to be taken into consideration.

Well maybe in bench marks, but i've had X2s and Opteron 165s up to 3.1Ghz on water and could'nt tell the difference between stock and overclocked. a few things ran faster, but marginally and forget gaming, almost no effect.
