I've noticed that a few of the Optiplex machines I've had to look at recently have had non-standard motherboard power connectors.
The 24 pin connector has been slimmed down and is now black. The AUX +12V connector is still the normal white 4 pin affair.
Are these new connectors limited to Dell, or are other manufacturers also using them? Has anyone ever seen a convertor that’d allow a standard PSU to be used?
I would have posted this in general hardware but I thought people here would be more likely to be dealing with this type of PC.
