Anyone dealt with Logitech recently?

I bought a G500 about a month and a half ago, recently it's started to miss clicks, not very often but it wasn't just a one off either! I'd read a lot of good things about Logitech's customer service but it was all from a few years ago, all I seem to find now is people having to return the faulty item first (and pay for it) and wait a few weeks for a replacement.

Am I going to have to buy a temporary mouse to use for a few weeks or will they send a replacement first if I ask nicely?

I believe they will ask you to send the mouse to them with the cord cut (don't know why they ask you to do that), when they receive it they will send you a replacement.

Yes you will need a temporary mouse for a bit :)

Bugger, it'll have to wait a while then, every penny counts at the minute!

How long after a new model is released do they start sending it out as a replacement? I know the G500s is out soon and I don't want one, I much prefer the looks of the G500

Last time I dealt with Logitech's CS, it was regarding a MX Revolution.
Mouse had developed excessive wear and tear on the side grip beyond what you would really expect for a premium mouse. Logitech were only to happy to provide a replacement but would only send out the replacement once I provided them photographic evidence of me "going-to-town" on the current one. :D

Cue some forceful work with a screwdriver and hammer. :D

About 12 months ago I dealt with them as my G9 was intermittently cutting out, they didn't ask for my old one, just the model and serial number. They sent me out a G9x, exactly the same mouse but with an x. More recently the pedals on my G27 were acting up, brakes always flashing in all racing games, they emailed me an address and barcode to post to Holland, had a new one within a week.
Still great service if you ask me.
Also friends have had out of warranty items queried and even though they are out of warranty, they were sent discount codes to use in their online store, not always the cheapest place to shop but not bad with a discount :)

The right mouse button on my g9x failed 2 weeks after warranty expired, they just provided a 50% off voucher which wasn't much use as the prices on their site are almost double the prices of everywhere else.
