My new employer has paid for me to do this qualification and I started last night.

I'm after any advice to get through the course easier - any recommended reading, particularly to help with the Assignments etc.?

Any and all comments/advice more than welcome and appreciated :)

Cant help but I did the Level 3 Education & Training and it was a doddle. The Level 5 will be geared much higher, probably for people who are using it as step-stone into a PGCE or people who want to become a teacher at some stage and haven't been the traditional academic routes.

What job do you do out of interest?

note that if this qualification may also be called a PGCE or a Cert Ed if awarded by a university

In that case I have done a PGCE if that helps? Biggest advice I can give is time management! Make sure you plan everything to the minute or it starts piling up. If it's to do with teaching in particular, get some time in a school to get some experience if possible.
