Anyone eaten at two and three Michelin-starred restaurants?

I have been to a small amount

Sat Bains in Nottingham - 2*, absolutely superb
Alex in Las Vegas 2* - very good but not to Sat Bains standard
Jean Georges in New York - 3* , pretty poor tbh, uninspiring food, bland room, no idea how it got 3*

+1 for Sat Bains.

We did the 10 course taster menu + glass of wine with each course.

Quite simply it re-aligned my perspective of what good food is.

Any particular reason you're asking?
I've eaten at a few 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants:

3 Stars
Waterside Inn
- Gorgeous location on the Thames, superb food, amazing service. I see why this has 3 stars.

2 Stars
The Square
- Amazing food, service was superb. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Went twice in one year and will be going again.

Le Gavroche
- Superb food but whilst the service was very good, it came across as quite cold and not overly friendly. As with Le Manoir, it is an expensive experience in my opinion.

The Ledbury
- My favourite after The Square. Both the food and the service were superb. Expensive but for what I experienced, good value.

Whatley Manor
- The food wasn't quite up to the other 2 star restaurants here, but the service was up there with The Waterside Inn. Stunning location too.

Le Manoir
- Stunning location. Food and service was very good but not up there with the others in this list. In my opinion and compared to the other restaurants in my list, it's fairly expensive for what you get.

The Hand and Flowers
- A 2 Michelin start pub so it is hard to compare the experience with the other restaurants. The food was really good along with the service, and the value for money can't be beaten. I think it is listed as the best value money Michelin star restaurant in the country - you can get the 3 course set menu for £19.50!

I love the Ledbury, one of my favourite places to eat. I've done a fair few, but can't remember them all.

Lassarte in Barcelona is 2 stars and was sublime. Great matching local wines, fantastic service, but I'd say Ledbury tops it, just.

Did 3 star auberge de L'ill, which was a great experience. Took the Mrs for date night and setting, food and service were all really really good. Was like near 500EUR for the 2 of us mind, but it was a great. I still think the Mrs would do the Ledbury over most places though. Brett offered to cook our Christmas Eve dinner for us last year ha

Someone in my office recently ate at Sat Bains' restaurant in Nottingham as well, they said it was excellent

I ate at Petrus in London a couple of weeks ago (1*) and that was fantastic so I'd love to go to a 2 or 3*

I intend to go to Le Gavroche in the next few years

A few.. Michelin isn't an exact science but I've only had a couple of disappointing meals at 2* restaurants (both in NYC).

If you're looking at trying one, I'd second the recommendations above of Sat Bains, think I've been there more often than any other nice restaurant in the UK.

Marcus Wareing at The Berkely - special big birthday treat.

Stunning food and faultess service. Explanations from the somelier about the wine matches were great. What topped it off was a tour of the kitchens. I couldn't believe it when they asked me.
