Anyone else bored with gaming?

me. I haven't played anything since Crysis 3 when it was first released. Its a shame really my GTX670 is sitting in my PC for playing a version of Winamp from 1999 and surfing the net

More of a casual gamer than a serious one but even still I like to whack everything up in a game and get right in there. I find that kind of gaming to be the best kind of gaming.

It keeps me wanting to fire up games and spend an hour a night playing.

Try a few indie games, I felt the same as you (20+ years of gaming) but found playing some more interesting titles got me back in. A few recent ones you might want to give a shot:

The Swapper
Gunpoint
Kentucky Zero
Reus

I'd also recommend SpaceChem, Hotline Miami, Frozen Synapse as a few indie titles that I've really enjoyed.

In terms of bigger titles, I am loving Metro Last Light, Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim and XCom at the moment.

If none of the above work then maybe it's just time for a break from gaming! I don't expect to outgrow games but at some point I suppose it might happen!

I went outside once, i'll give the graphics a 10 out of 10 but the gameplay is somewhat of a slower pace than most people would be acclimatised to, an interesting feature though is the inclusion of dynamic weather, you'd almost be fooled into thinking it was the real thing.

I'm playing more old titles than new ones lately

What with work and other hobbies though, I'm lucky to get an hour a night in. I think my current Steam library as it stands, could last me years:D

I am slightly in the same boat. But, I still play & enjoy.

I got a Trinity set up, and ended up getting a 7850 a few months later. Really didn't actually need it, so that was £150 wasted.

The FPS is improved but I mainly play Football Manager & Skyrim, both of which can be played on the APU easily.

Recently got Command & Conquer 3, which I am quite enjoying. 4 was terrible.

We do seem to miss a lot of good games now, definatley not as many coming out on PC as there was years back.

Getting old... I play a lot of euro truck sim 2 now while listening to kerrang radio (its my newest 'fall back game' nothing to play = truckin' time)

Yeah im quite bored of gaming and have been for a few years now, i won't be getting another console until things have progressed a lot more, graphics and game play have seemed to stagnate, the only interesting development is the potential of augmented/virtual reality, for now it will be a little pc gaming when im really bored but i just don't feel there's much fun or depth to games any more.

I'm sitting here looking through my Steam library and the store, and nothing is interesting me anymore. What is going on? :( I even sold my PS3 last week!

The only thing I feel like playing is Morrowind, but even then I'm afraid It'll ruin the memories once I see the graphics.

This is terrible.

strange to read all these comments: "Try that game, try other game..."

Maybe you just "grew up" and found something more interesting. Cuz there too many things outside online in this world to do. While I love gaming, I prefer sports, working, travelling and other 100's of things,.. plus when such nice weather finally hit UK it is shame to see so many people can't get a** up and enjoy real life :p:p:p

so what do you 'outside people' actually.............

........

DO?
Most likely sit in the garden playing games on there smart phone...:D

But on a more serious note....I myself have been out a fair bit on these warmer days riding around on my motorbike...:)

I've been burned out for a while now, I feel that everything I play is just a rehash of something I've played before, if anything worse than before.
The only things keeping me hooked these days are DCS and ARMA, mostly due to the people I play with as well but also how every week is a different story.

I know what I'm missing, I'm missing a game to play with friends, CSS used to be my thing. But that's gone.

Just nothing that tickles my fancy, WoW almost gripped me back not long ago.

Neverwinter seemed fun, but no one to play with...
