For example, I have Mass Effect 1 on Steam. (OK, I have all three on Xbox360 but we'll ignore that for now, as I'm thinking may as well sell that box)

But now thinking picking up either 2 and 3 on Origin, but want 1 on same platform... so maybe pick up trilogy...

Same with Dead Space. Had first two on PS3, so wanted 3 on PS3. Bought in black friday deals on Amazon, onyl to discover already have 3 on Origin (plus the first - though I have the first on Steam too). Now I want 2 through Origin...

Never mind the fact that I think I have a problem, but anyone else like this?

Yep, i wont buy a game if it requires a different platform. I dont mind ones with their own launchers like lol/wow/minecraft etc. But i wont buy a game on origin/uplay as i want all my stuff in steam.

People selling those new assassins creed keys on MM for cheap but thats for uplay so i am waiting until i can get it a little cheaper on steam and will just pay the extra lol.

I would prefer to have them on the same platform, but not really bothered.

When I am looking for games to play, I often forget games on Origin and GOG.

Other platforms like Origin and Uplay aren't that bad tbh, though Uplay's patching system is atrocious!

I used to be moderately compulsive i.e. I would actively seek out physical copies rather than digital distribution, but not so bothered now.

I have games spread over Steam, Origin, uPlay, GFWL, Dixons, Gamersgate, Capsule, Desura, GOG etc and the main problem is keeping track of games I already own when sales are on i.e. I've bought a game on Steam before despite already having it on another platform as I had forgotten!

jubei: AFAIK some of the AC games require uPlay regardless of whether you buy it through steam, although I haven't got AC4 yet. Running them via Steam just loads up uPlay.

I like every thing in the same place because I have the habit of "forgetting passwords" and have lost many games because of this :D . Same with physical copies.

If with (the likes of) Origin you can create a link to just launch the game along with associated platform you should be able to add the game as an "externally launched" game in steam to a greater or lesser extent.

Doesn't solve the multiple store-fronts loading up but at least it's there on the the steam list.

Only thing on Origin that I own Is NfS-World and haven't played it in a while.....

Steam has my current games list (steam and non steam) on it and if something is not on it then it doesn't get played .

but I'd favor a steam release over origin/uplay even if it was a little more expensive.

I don't mind games on different platforms (PS3 &PC), I'm not bothered if my pc games are on different game clients if its on PC its on the pc....

anygame that has its own launcher e.g. League of legends i link it through steam, however as origins concerned i am not fused having my ea games on it and not on steam, it doesnt bother me. yes it is another program that i have to have but its fine. as for e.g. halo where the first on was on the pc and the rest on the xbox that was frustrating as i wanted to play the series and had to buy them for the xbox rather than pc

I tend to only play games on PS3 now, so I can get trophies. That said, I'm currently playing FFXIV on PC since the achievements carry across if I log in on PS3 when I finish.
