So I sat down with the kids yesterday to watch a family film, you know, typical boring sunday.

So we all decided, lets watch toy story! Haven't seen it in ages! As we were watching it I thought i'd recognised one of the voice actors from another film so i decided to check it up on IMDB..

Turns out Toy Story was released 20 years ago on the 22nd of November 1995

I remember it like it was yesterday, going to see this film at the cinema! :(

anyone else feeling really old? are there any intances of things you remember like it was yesterday?

I turn 40 in June, so yes feeling very old! :(

I know what you mean about remembering things like films first coming out, I still remember going to see Back to the Future like it was yesterday, that's 30 years ago!!!

No I don't feel old. It felt like that with some of the numbers at the Classic Rock Show the other night.

Yes...

Star Wars was released 38 years ago.
Alien 36 years ago.
Oasis Wonderwall 20 years.

Etc.

At 26, not particuarly.

Oddly enough, I keep thinking to myself that I'm 27 years of age. Atleast it won't be a nasty shock when the time comes!

It is a nasty shock when the age of 60 sneaks up on you and you note that there are many things you cannot do and many things you should not do. You begin to worry about things that you should have thought about 30 or so years earlier.

Life is definitely less fun. You are constantly told by internet trolls that you must be a weirdo or worse because you still love PC gaming and am a member of groups dedicated to a particular game.

I'm 42 in may and I don't really feel any different to how I did when I was in my 20's to be honest. But yes, I do sometimes look at the year of some of my favourite films with a little shock at how long ago they were released.
