Anyone else feeling old?

The giveaway is if you can reach down to tie your shoe laces, get up from the sofa or get up from kneeling/laying down on the floor without sighing.

Home Alone gets me. Vividly remember watching it at the cinema.

It was 25 years ago!!!!!! That's a quarter of a century. It's not fair. Why do we have to get old and Des O'Connor doesn't?

my kid turns 12 this year, she is nearly as tall as me and hassles me for consoles, games etc lol yes i feel very old (44 this year)

Sometimes wonder where all the time has gone, but then I look back through photos, facebook etc.. I've done so much and crammed so much in I'm suprised I'm not actually older and/or already dead :p

Always seem to land on my feet with the ladies too, last couple were 21/22 and the current one is 27 so still punching well above my weight in that respect.

38, to me; is just that, a number :D

I'm 34 been married 12 years and have 4 kids. Came across some old home videos recently and felt like it was only yesterday I was starting secondary school

This will wreck your head....

lol

That link says I'm 19,647 days old. http://you.regettingold.com/20/04/1961/

I guess that's better than the alternative !!

However it says I'm a Taurus when in fact I'm a "last day" Aries (Arian)

In my mind I'm still in my 20's but after I've driven my truck to it's destination and alight from it I then walk like I've sheet myself until I can straighten up.

There is no comfortable position. After you've been in the same position more than a few minutes you have to change position !

I've often thought it would be awesome to "Go Back" but then I'd have to go through all that crap again. Once was enough as I learn EVERYTHING the hard way ! (Stubborn Arian).

Your as old as what you feel and my wife is 6 years younger than me so all gravy for a few more years until she starts to sag :)

31 and I don't feel old at all. But I notice more people (younger than me) seem to go on about getting old or age. Maybe it's a British thing, moan about stuff you have no control over instead of just enjoying it or they haven't done enough with their lives.

As long as I have no health issues due to age, which I don't then it's all good!

At 50 I'm starting to feel I'm past my prime physically, and I've put on weight which is proving difficult to shift. Mentally though, I feel just the same as I did 20 years ago.

I felt like that years ago. My age however seems to have caught up to match how my body feels.

Its because everything is geared towards youth and youth culture. Someone I used to work with turned 30 and when I pointed out the creaking he felt in the morning was actually him getting on a bit and not some latent physical illness, he was horrified. That and the fact he likes to cycle a lot listens to Radio One all the time, got to night clubs the thought thats he's going to be on the wrong side of of the age divide before too long came as a bit of a shock to him. You could see it washing over him like a wave on a beach.

My wife is 10 years younger, so I feel pretty young :D

I remember seeing the first star wars movie at cinema though :\

Comes to all of us in the end I guess, at 30 I do not feel as immortal as I did at 21 thats for sure.

Hitting 30 had an effect on me that I didn't expect. It was subtle. I went to bed as a 29 year old with no expectations of change about anything at all. It's just a number. The next day I awoke a 30 year old (hint: it was my birthday.) I overheard a conversation at the train station "ugh, all twenty-somethings are alike. Think they are all grown up but not" HEY LADY, I TAKE OFFENCE TO THAT AS A TWEN-- oh. Nevermind. Average age of premier league footballers is about 8 years ago or something. Suddenly I realise I am well past my chance to become a professional athlete (ha, "yeah, because that's the only thing that will prevent you" I hear you say ;)) etc. all suddenly hit home.
