Anyone else find Dead Space boring?

Wow, u sussed the full game after the first level. Well done. FYI it is not just that type of game, it's actually got a great story and good gameplay with some great jumpy moments. One of the best in the genre imo.

I can be on a game within minutes mate been playing them for 30 years.;)

FPS games horror or not, need to be special to grab me now. Last game
I enjoyed FPS style was skyrim but even then I got board.

Maybe my sights are too high or my experience has increased my expectations. But as a whole most games these days I do not bother with,
unless its a new IP etc but its same stuff different day with most games. :rolleyes:

So you saying you cannot play skyrim in FPS?

FPS, 3rd person shoot`em ups they all the same. Only
good examples I can say is GTA of course and Watch dogs that push
the limits. All the others are same **** different day.
 
You can go first person in skyrim, it's not a FPS though. What a ridiculous thing to say. You would be aswell as saying, all games are the same and not bother playing any more. Deary me.

FYI Skyrim is an action RPG not a first person shooter lol
 
As for the story of Dead Space, I've played 1 & 2 and watched the animated movies Downfall and Aftermath and couldn't really tell you what happens.

It's clear as mud really.
 
I got about 65% through Dead Space, was finding it okay but lost my save.

I've tried to go through it again since but I just can't seem to get into it sadly. Pity as I love Doom 3 but Dead Space just isn't anywhere near as compelling.

Lol you dont get it, they all the same COD, BF, Skyrim, Dues ex blar blar
Even GTA and watch dogs they the same stuff. To me it feels the same
it looks the same and it plays the same. Only difference is the approche and portrayal of said game.

Its just a game and each person portrays said game in there own mind!

They are nowhere near the same game. Cod and battlefield are both military shooters I'll give you that. Deus ex and dead space are completely different genres and if you can't see that, then maybe gaming isn't for you

I am not talking about theme, I am talking about gameplay.

They all play the same it is just the approche that makes a game interesting.

I just see stuff the same these days, Watchdogs is having ago , Gta likes to push it. But most stuff is pifft.

I am a strange one with this, for a whole year I can play nothing but online games then the next year only want single player games.
 
Never liked it. The locked 30 fps, the crappy FOV and the horrendous mouse sensitivity put me off, maybe it would have been good on a console.
 
Gonna throw the cat amost the pigeons here and say that after finishing 1&2 im close to the end of 3 and actually prefer that to the 1st 2. Have to admit to getting a bit bored playing all 3 but i just play a hour here and there and its not too bad.
 
Dead space is only locked to 30fps if you use the in game vsync. Set it in your graphics card control panel and you will get 60fps unless you are running it on a toaster. And yes I think number 3 is a fine game too. I hope some more are made sometime. Dead Space 3 is one of those games that got shot to pieces before it got released undeservedly so I think.
