Anyone else get stressed when gaming online?

I made this few weeks back, the only that made me rage in a long time

Well I lolled. :D

I don't rage, but I often got nervous when duelling in Quake3/Quakelive. Pretty annoying because when I was playing those games, I got my aim pretty damn good, especially with rail. But once the duel started, I found it hard to just relax, and though I won some, mostly my nerves got in the way of my ability. I'd end up trying too hard. I'd play better when I knew the player was leagues ahead of me because I didn't feel any pressure, yet when it was against someone I knew I'm as good as or better than, or against friends, I often played crap. I guess that's because I'm competitive.

Biting my keyboard probably the worst thing I did before wrapping it around the wall a few times ... I dont usually rage at other people though.

I rage at BC2 quite a lot simply because i am at a low level, so not only am i playing against players who have playted it for longer and know the maps and tactics for every kit etc, but they all have bullet-proof skin and amazingly powerful guns with special bullets which kill you in one, whilst i need 50 headshots to kill them.

I prefer TF2, where i can just have a laugh and everyone is basically the same.

Everybody's the same? Hell, I can empty a whole minigun clip into someone and they won't die! It only takes them 2 seconds with that to kill me, I personally don't understand it, despite the fact I've been playing for 2 days.

It's great fun and very addictive though! Anymore TF2 players here, we should start a clan, the OcUK clan man. :D

I used to get stressed out with StarCraft, it's why I eventually stopped playing.

In 1v1 SC I constantly feel anxious and tense. I think a big part of it was not knowing what my opponent was doing and the length of each game. I'm perfectly fine for fighting and FPS games.

Ever played APB reloaded??? That is the single most ragey game i have ever played and vow never to play again.

Combine laggy players from all over eastern Europe and bad game mechanics, lace it with extra random lag and packet loss, sprinkle with the occasional aimbot and you have my ultimate recipe for rage quitting.

I rage due to other peoples incompetence! This is the reason i no longer play with random's in League of Legends

In my competitive CS days i would get quite nervous when playing a clan game almost to the point where ...... "My heart's beatin, my heart's beatin, my hands are shakin, my hands are shakin, but i'm still shootin, it's like BOOM!HEADSHOT, BOOM!HEADSHOT, BOOM!HEADSHOT, BO-OM!HEAD-SHOT!"

Hehehehe FPS Doug is still the king :D

I only play BC2 at the moment but I never go all caps and rageface when gaming online or offline. In fact in BC2 when I get killed as soon as I spawn multiple times I just hunt the person who keeps doing it and throw them a gift.

An explosive gift.

And then laugh like a maniac in Mumble. Anyone on Mumble will verifiy this :p

Eve Online with bad fleet commander = 1000 pilot rage!!!! The countless times your FC fails to make a decision and then calls a bad one, resulting in major fleet losses. If the FC is new, the mistakes are forgiven as a lesson learnt. If the FC is a mister-know-it-all-ranter and abuses every person who judges his calls, then he deserves the rage from his fleet.
Still with Eve, Alliance members who fail to assist when you are caught in an ambush. You know the scenario, you are piloting in Alliance null sec and you are suddenly jumped by a red. You have 20 other alliance pilots in the system, so you call for back-up whilst your try and tank the stealthy hunter. If you die, then hopefully the alliance will get the kill and make the system safer again - NAH! They do absolutely feckall (mostly dock) and say sorry about your losses, while the assailant robs your wreck.

In fact the last time I remember getting all worked up in a multiplayer game was on the N64 when playing Goldeneye64 with my brother. He'd cheat so I'd give him a quick jab to the chops.

Then I'd cheat and run away :p

Haha, you are definitely not alone mate.

I used to be cool as a cucumber online, would play in clan matches etc and not lose that cool ever.
Now days however, increased heart rate, play to stay alive, so whenever I see anyone I'm running before I'm shooting lol

I guess that's just age related though!

Only in eve online, I constantly fly overly expensive stuff but it wouldn't be worth playing if it wasn't for the adrenaline rush in the first place.

I once raged so hard at some stupid american kid that I had an instant headache, lasted 3 hours, went to the doctors about it and was something to do with adrenaline, I have since raged and all is well but it scared me a little bit :D
