This isn't a medical thread and it's certainly not something worth bothering a GP over. I'm just more curious than alarmed hence why I'm asking.

Does anyone else here wake up with sore throats? It always seems to happen when I brush my teeth before bed, so I'm assuming it's the toothpaste doing it as when I 'forget' I don't usually wake up with a sore throat.
 
Nope, nothing different. I always take a glass of water to bed. I've tried drinking some water about five minutes after brushing my teeth but that doesn't seem to help. I'm kind of in the habit of waking up and diving for the water now to cure the throat-fire. :p

I think as people say it's probably my mouth/throat drying out (I suspect having the window open adds to this) and the toothpaste is aiding the process somewhat.

I was thinking about the brushing a little earlier myself. Can't hurt to be a little empirical about the whole thing can it? :p
