Anyone else getting multiple text messages via Sky mobiles?

Whenever my parents send me a text message via their mobiles, I get the same text message about 20 times. They both have sky accounts (albeit different addresses and phone types)!

Example

How are you?
How are you?
How are you?
2mins pass
How are you?

and it goes on - When I talk to them, they've only sent it once.

Are they using one of the Apple/Samsung chat apps. They have a setting to automatically resend as txt/mms if they think the message wasnt recieved which can cause problems with duplication. Who uses text messages these days anyway?
