Anyone else getting subscription burnout?

WhatsApp?

All the foreign countries I've visited outside Europe tend to do cheap mobile data plans and whenever someone calls it's a WhatsApp voice call.
I used to have a separate phone number with Skype that matched the region I wanted. If I wanted a US number, I could buy one.

Only permanent subscription is music streaming unless the BBC counts - back in Tidal high-res this week , had been trying spotify 'premium' at home/car for last 3 months, music is now enjoyable again,
you can taste the difference.

Time to time sharing a TNT/discovery+ subscription too, which is great for olympics/tdf/rugby ..

Just Netflix at the moment which i'm going to bin.

Just finished another free Disney trial, have Apple when that's free.

May give prime a free run to catch up with a few things. I think I'll sign up for for a month of one of the other ones, I'm sure there's something I wanted to watch.

There's just too many of them and that's not even starting with music streaming. Never done that though, can't be bothered.

You can just bleed money for no real reason.

I have Prime Video, iCloud and Spotify. I will probably stop Prime Video soon as Clarkson’s farm has ended.

ICloud+
Netflix
Disney+
Amazon Prime
MyFitnessPal
Strava
PSPlus essential
Gym
Spotify
YouTube Premium
The Times
Puxton Park for the kids
TV Licence
NowTV Sports
Virgin TV basic package that includes megabit broadband
Both boys have football clubs, swimming lessons, gymnastics membership..
Deezer for my other half's music.

Probably totals £230 a month-ish.

Check out the gucci belt+corner sofa Combo! :D

BBC counts. I don't subscribe to that

I have many but I do use all of them. I'm not going to count our Sky TV packages as I don't really count Sky as a 'subscription' in the sense I can pick it up and drop when I please.

YouTube Premium
Strava
Zwift
Bevel
Disney+
Paramount*
Netflix UHD*
Discovery*
AppleTV
Apple Music
iCloud Family 2TB
Amazon Prime
UberEats Plus
Deliveroo+

Pretty sure that's about it. I do need to sign back up to a VPN but again I don't see that as a 'subscription'
*Included with our Sky Package so a dubious entry

Disney+ (Bank account Perk)
Spotify
Microsoft 365

That's about it.

I don't really think about it, we've always had things on DD in the past, just got more tools in modern life.

I've just got 3yrs of Surfshark access because my 2yr Nord sub has concluded. It's so infrequent that I forget about that one as well.

Just the three subs for me, I cancelled Netflix about a year ago, when they kicked everyone off the legacy Basic plan :o

Amazon Prime - absolutely love prime delivery, it's the ultimate convenience. You can order as late as midnight, sometimes even past midnight, for next day (or same day) delivery. Saturday/Sunday delivery no big deal, no extra charge. No minimum order value, so I can complete orders while browsing (order a couple books, browse, order a single USB cable, browse, etc). If the delivery date isn't next day for some reason, choosing a locker often fixes that. I have a 24/7 accessible locker 5 mins away, great if I'm not sure if I'll be at home or work, or needing to 'guarantee' delivery. Honestly, can't praise it enough

Deezer - I listen to music more than I watch TV, so I paid for Spotify premium for 4.5 years straight. The Spotify app was fustrating, integrating your own non-Spotify tracks into playlists was a pain in the behind, and no lossless. I'm not sure if they fixed any of that since 2022. I eventually switched over to Deezer, which is cheaper, has lossless, the app is better (not great), and you can upload your own tracks to their server and integrate them properly into playlists. Downsides are the limited public user playlists (since Spotify is so much bigger), also the Track Mix struggles sometimes.

Chess.com - It's the only game I can tolerate on a mobile phone, also I'm on the grandfathered Gold plan (with game review) at £30 per year, meaning I can never, ever, ever cancel this one
