I did a search on these forums and google but no hits came back.

I've got a Viewsonic VX2025 and whenever I move my monitor, the screen turns off because of the power cable. I have to jiggle it about at the back of the monitor to get it back on.

The cable is the one supplied with the monitor and it's firmly attached but this just keeps on happening. It doesn't feel loose but it is the cause of the problem.

Am I the only one with this problem or is this a common fault with this monitor?

suggest you try another power cable, if that doesnt work it may be the connector pins on the monitor itself

I've just been wiggling the cable about just now to get the monitor to turn back on.

I'll go and buy a new power cable to see if that makes a difference. Thought it might just have been a design flaw or something.

if it happens to be a problem with the monitor itself and you have to rma viewsonic customer service is excellent,my 2025 developed a long line of dead pixels, so i mailed the support office,2ays later brand new monitor

There's a line of 4 or 5 dead pixels (well they show red occasionally so I guess they're not dead) side by side lined up vertically in the bottom right of my monitor.

They've been there since I bought it and couldn't be bothered changing it as I could get a dead pixel in a more annoying place, like somewhere in the centre. They're outta the way and 4 or 5 isn't even bigger than the mouse cursor so I put up with it.

Got a power cable off a friend, so seeing if that makes it any better.
