Anyone else hate christmas day ?

yes, if there are no kids around xmas can be pretty depressing as you feel you are supposed to be happy running around hugging people and smiling yay!
it can be a good time to catch up with family and friends, maybe get a drink or two in
i kind of like xmas for distracting me from the first half of winter and the shorter days, it's good for that. there is a buzz around leading up to it.
it's nice to know you will be off a few days. if i could afford it i'd head off on a long weekend or a holiday at xmas to get away from all the forced happiness

I think it great for people with kids but when your single and on your own it got be the worst day of the year by long way..

I went out into my local town in the night time hoping to find a pub open somewhere to go a beer but not a chance everywhere was closed :(:mad:

How come you're on your own, don't you have any family or friends assuming no partner? I enjoyed Christmas when I was single, it was basically spent in the pub with my mates.
 
I enjoy Christmas; however, five days’ is enough for me. Built my Nephew a gaming PC - Albeit not a cutting edge but great for TF2 and Overwatch (games he likes) I tested last week and it was fine. Now wished I had not bothered, the first thing was a whine about Wi-Fi. Tested my patience, explaining that Wi-Fi can be temperamental and living in a three floor, but no, pipsqueak knows better - jog on.

Really wished I had not bothered and just gave £20 as the rest of the other family do... Next year, job done.

If he was my son he would get a major kick in the arse for attitude - Families hey!
