anyone else HATE led lit cases?

I have red led light bleeding through the rubber grommets and a white led just to give the case a bit of light inside (600t). Have turned off all the board leds on maximus iv ex-z.

Looks pretty good imo, Toying with the idea of switching out the red for more white though.

Edit: should say I'm not a fan of LED fans or using non-white leds in the main compartment of the case. They just.. colourify everything and it looks tacky.

I only have an LED lit mouse atm, but i did get used to it quite quickly.

I guess a full blown LED lit case + fans could be OTT, you'd probably have to balance it to your preferences.

If in doubt go without and add strips later?
 
My case has a cathode along the top inside. The case sits on the floor and has a side window. I personally dont game in the dark and the lights never get in my way, tbh I find the lighting very useful for when I need to poke around inside the machine. Plus theres always a few ooo's and ahhh's from people who think pretty lights = super pc.
 
There's nothing wrong with a few leds here and there. Come on man lighten up ! If it wasn't for a few bells and whistles all our builds would start to look very samey and boring tbh.

Let the people express themselves :D
 
Lights used in the right way look very nice. I think red lights in a case look tacky and i especially don't like LED lit fans.
I love a subtly green case or in a white themed build, a white light really does it justice :cool:
 
I think they can look good, as long as they're not over the top. Got twin blue front fans, 200mm blue top fan and 2 ccls. Any more would be too much. Nearly went red instead...
I've spent a lot of time and money on my rig, I want to be able to see it!
 
I've never liked LED anything, I don't see the point in light up fans and I don't like cases with a 'window' in them.

Maybe I'm just old and boring, I do have a lian li pc-7b after all.

Erm..... I guess you would hate my build then :p On a positive they can all be turned off. I guess that I would hate them if they were on all the time. It's all personal preference. So no I LOVE led lit cases - as long as they can be dimmed if required.
 
They were cool in my case when I was 15, now I'm not.. :D Also are some of you guys that are into them the same ppl that try to make the building stand out from space at night with decorations at xmas :D
 
had a single white led fan in the top of my raven 2 white edition, wasnt over powering and just provided enough light to see the components in the dark thru the side window. Matched in with the theme of the case nicely.

Have just replaced the raven with a fractal R3 and have no leds in there at all, Pointless to put any in a case with no windows
 
I have a few led fans on the TRUE cooler in my second rig, (akasa eclipse with window). Main system in sig only has one led fan in the front, but due to the case front design, (and no window) it cant be seen. I dont mind if the led's are quite subtle, but i may go for an led strip light if i get a window for the shinobi xl.
 
I used to think LED lit fans/cases were cool, then I turned 12.

Keyboards are understandable I guess, but I always game in a well-lit room (AS SHOULD YOU! :p).
If I am in the dark, err my monitor kinda gives off light. Not that I'm in the habit of looking away from my screen and then down at my keys anyway, lol.
