anyone else HATE led lit cases?

I mean, i bought a premade system like 3 years about with some annoying led fans, took me a week before they ****ed me off so much that i popped the leds with a screwdriver.

i just don't see the appeal, why do you want lights blinding you when your trying to head shot some noobs?

maybe its because i game mainly in the dark.....
 
Depends how bright they are.
The ones i have are perfect, Coolermaster megaflows 200mm one in the front
which lights up the inside of the case red perfectly and doesnt fire out the front too powerful.

Looks great when i look under the desk and see all my black/red hardware lit up red.
I personally love it

My keyboard is back lit blue and the colours i have set for my mouse are red. Really doesnt bother me one bit

I don't like them on keyboards for some reason.

I don't mind them on fans, but now I need noctua to make some led focus flows, or scythe to make some led GTs... Yes I could mod them, but it is a lot of work... Basically I've decided I'll take quality fans over LEDs any day...

lit up keyboard keys have a purpose, lit up cases do not :P

tbh i hate my keyboard. i bought it because i needed an extra slim one so i could fit an extra wide mouse mat on the desk i had when i lived with my parents. now that i don't live with them i have much regrets about my £50 keyboard purchase :rolleyes:

EDIT - i still like the lights on it though :P
 
I can touch type, I don't even look at the keyboard, but my Razer Lycosa is one of my favourite pieces of kit.

The blue LEDS go with the blue LEDs on my razer deathadder and on my LED fans.

It's just a colour scheme thing really.

i have a deathadder... i like the lights on that too....

maybe my issue to blue led lit cases is from the insanely blindingly bright fans i had in my last case..... perhaps if i got some GOOD blue leds for my new build..... maybe i could..... like them :D:D:D
 
I thought it would be silly in my case to have LED fans for a long time. I decided to change that up by getting a set of white LED fans. It doesn't look bad. I will get an LED switch for them if I ever feel like it.
 
Aslong as they are shining directly into my eyes I don't mind them. I purposely went for a muted red "backlit" effect on my gaming PC with the red light bleeding through apertures (think cylon raiders or Knightrider KITT)

NZXT blackline (red lighting)
Coolermaster V8 CPU cooler
OCZ Fatal1ty PSU (due to red lighting effect)

Not everyone is trying to shoot some noobs :)

If you are then why not put the case on the floor, or get a windowless case I suppose.

I love them on the keyboard, I've got a Saitek Eclipse and it allows you to adjust the brightness or have it off. I originally bought it as I (like new boy) played games in the dark and found it hard to type :D

Sometimes I'm still in the dark and the lit up keys do help.
 
I wouldn't have LEDs in my case if it were on my desk in front of my eyes as it would be distracting. As my case stands on the floor, with no window or exposed front or anything I quite like them.

Love my rgb LED keyboard though. So handy in the dark. With my previous unlit keyboard I had to shine a light over the keyboard to see what I was typing, it was far from ideal.

Down with LEDs, the main reason I wouldn't have LEDs every which way is that my pc is in my room and usually left on overnight. I wouldn't want a night light to keep me up all night.

Plus, LEDs just make the Corsair 650D look cheap and nasty.
 
Depends on the colour of the LED and what case it is tbh. Some case look dull without them, some look dumb with them.

Not a fan either of LED back lit keyboards, too distracting, my fingers know where the keys are, thats what counts.

yeah, i got used to typing in the dark in the end, but even though i dont look at the keys when i type, i still make less typos when they are lit up for some reason. funnily enough, the most distracting thing about my keyboard is the bloody numlock indicator. that thing lights up the room lol.
 
Hard to escape LED's on some tech, like mobo's. Mine has a couple of blue's on it as does one of the fans for my H50. Also my lachesis has the blue snake symbol on it and I also have blue back lit G110. Oh and not forgetting my halo lights on my monitor. They have a purpose though, much like the backlit keyboard. Nothing too in your face, but they provide enough light for gaming without the ceiling lights on in my room.
 
...but they're so pretty, currently need to replace my red Megaflow with a blue one, then wire them all together to the case swtich
