Getting 'Server Not Found' errors and page unresolved on loads of websites, sites like Google.co.uk and BBC.co.uk are not loading. Some sites work fine though like wikipedia.org.

Also, and the main pain is that I can't fire up EVE or GW2 as both just sit there on their respective loaders showing a 'no connection' error.

They were working fine a few hours back, and nothing has changed in regards to my router or PC settings and all the lights on my router are normal. I'm on Plusnet and a few others users are reporting similar errors on the Plusnet forums, but is anyone on another ISP experiencing this?

I'm on Plusnet and getting the same thing. Probably part of the network down somewhere.

I'm having to use Bing for search. It's horrible.

PlusNet Support:

Not sure what the score is as I'm on my way into the office, but I know people are aware of the issue as there's an internal problem being worked on (ref: 87949). I'm sure somebody will be along before too long to clarify further.

Apologies for the lack of any official service notification.

Still not working here, also PlusNet :(
Machine (W7) installed 13 updates when I shut it down last night, initially thought it was something to do with those.

Ditto. Also looks like the webserver running the service status pages is getting a battering. I'm having to change the DNS forwarders for a client.

On the bright side, I'm seeing the best pings I've ever seen.

I think I've seen this sort of behaviour with webservers before. If Apache is configured to resolve DNS for logging and there are DNS issues, then it can stop responding to requests. I could be miles off though.
